We provide a loving and nurturing environment that takes the fear out of learning.
We focus on success, allowing your child to grow in self-esteem, confidence and competence.
We focus on each child’s individuality. Each class has no more than 10 students, staffed by a teacher and assistant teacher.
We attend to the total child by providing innovative programs in music and art, as well as computer training and physical education.
We will listen and learn from those actively supporting the child’s success.
We will teach your child strategies that will enable him or her to realize his or her potential.
Your child’s educational experience is only as good as his or her teacher. At The Pathways Academy we have a talented and compassionate group of educators. They are trained in the best multi-sensory teaching methods. They focus on reading, writing and spelling while teaching your child to organize information, develop study skills and assure responsibility for learning. Our teachers are recognized as outstanding in their field. They are committed to your child’s success.
Music/Art/Drama
It has been shown that students with reading difficulties often excel in the areas of music, art, and drama. They seem to be natural actors and exceptionally creative. The Pathways Academy wants to nurture these talents with a comprehensive program that includes music, art and drama. They will be given the opportunity to express all of their talents in a variety of programs created to stimulate and encourage each child. Art is done in a multi-media approach while children learn the joy of expressing themselves in clay, cloth, acrylics and more.
Computer Science
State-of-the-art is the state of things in our computer lab at Pathways. Each day students receive hands-on experience and training that will help them meet the demands of our computer age. The computer is an exceptional multi-sensory aid for students with difficulties in reading, writing and spelling. Special educational software focusing on these areas provides additional support for learning.
Physical Education
A physical education program specialist meets with your children two times a week to provide an outlet for creative movement and to teach various sports and games in a non-competitive environment.
